Summary

Anyone can build courses in Safety Made Simple. Upload and arrange your existing content, then drag and drop it straight into the course.

Overview

Mix, match, and structure your courses by combining different modules. Use these combinations of uploaded content to create a dynamic learning experience.

Admins are responsible for making sure that the content they and course authors (Instructors) publish in your portal (courses, training material, assets uploaded including captions) is accessible.

Safety Made Simple does not verify the uploaded content for accessibility.

Text & Image

Add course content directly into a text & image module using the CK editor. Paste in the embed code from websites like YouTube, Vimeo, and Wistia to deliver your content. Embed content from Gong or Guru to share content from sources within your organization.

Tip: make sure your users have permissions to access all shared content.

Documents

Safety Made Simple supports Word and PDF documents uploaded to your course. Page tracking also ensures that learners paginate through each page in the document. . PowerPoint may be uploaded as is or saved as an MP4 video and uploaded as a video.

Video and audio files

Upload video and audio files in a couple of clicks. Include captioning files to make videos accessible to all users.

SCORM & xAPI (TinCan)

Safety Made Simple supports SCORM 1.2 and xAPI (Tin Can) standards. Content produced in your favorite authoring tool will work in our LMS.

Exams, knowledge checks and surveys

Add auto-corrected exams to your courses to test your learners. You can pick and choose from many question types to create impactful assessments.

Knowledge checks, aka quizzes, use an exam format, but their scores do not affect the course outcome.

Surveys let you take in feedback from learners, during or at the end of a course.

Assignments

Enable your instructors to set assignments, correct them, and give one-to-one feedback to learners for a more personal touch.

Checklists

Checklists let you create your own list of tasks or skills for a learner to demonstrate.

An observer can watch and verify the tasks were completed correctly.
